This gorgeous hat by Deborah New York is made of stripes of straw divided by stripes of mesh.
It is a Breton style hat which is known by its upturned bill
It features a fan shaped sequined and beaded embellishment on the front of the upturned bill.
In addition there are stripes of sequins around the straw sections of the hat
The hat is finished off with a overlapping layer of mesh at the top back
Perfect for Sunday morning church, the Kentucky Derby or many other special occasions
The inner diameter of the hat measures approx. 7 inches
Likely vintage as this company has made these beautiful hats since 1977
The hat is preowned but looks to be in very good condition. The sequins appear to all be in place. The sweatband is generally clean with only very minimal marks to the fabric noted.
